The Bolivian Professional Football league is the main soccer tournament in Bolivia. This league was founded in August 1977, but La Paz used to play amateur soccer in the 50's (with clubs such as Oruro and Cochabamba). The soccer league is the successor of the Campeonato de la Federacion Boliviana de Futbol, played between 1960 and 1977 with the main regional soccer teams.
