Lara's double list
Eduardo Lara revealed the lists of players for upcoming friendly games against El Salvador (August 7) and Venezuela (August 12); both games will be held at the United States as a warmup for the South American Qualifiers.
Colombia coach handed in a list including players performing at the local league plus "foreign" Freddy Montero (at the MLS) to meet El Salvador.
As for the game against Venezuela to be held in New York, Lara called players performing in Europe mainly as this is a game scheduled on FIFA calendar. This list may include some of the players that will face El Salvador.
Colombia list to face El Salvador:
Keepers: Agustin Julio (Santa Fe), Hector Fabio Landazuri (Once Caldas).
Defenders: Alexis Henriquez and Luis Nunez (Once Caldas), Humberto Mendoza (Atletico Nacional), Ivan Velez (America), Farid Diaz (Envigado).
Midfielders: John Viafara (Once Caldas), Jairo Palomino and Giovanni Moreno (Atletico Nacional), Dorlan Pavon (Envigado), Cristian Marrugo (Deportes Tolima), Luis Fernando Mosquera (Independiente Medellin), Jose Manuel Najera (Real Cartagena).
Strikers: Adrian Ramos (America Cali), Teofilo Gutierrez (Atletico Junior), Freddy Montero (Seattle Sounders).
Colombia list to face Venezuela:
Keeper: David Ospina (Niza, FRA)
Defenders: Luis Amaranto Perea (Atletico Madrid, ESP), Ivan Cordoba (Inter, ITA), Mario Yepes (Chievo Verona, ITA), Pablo Armero (Palmeiras, BRA), Camilo Zuniga (Napoli, ITA).
Midfielders: Fabian Vargas (Almeria, ESP), Freddy Guarin (Oporto, POR), Juan Pablo Pino (Monaco, FRA), Abel Aguilar (Real Zaragoza, ESP).
Strikers: Radamel Falcao Garcia (Porto, POR), Hugo Rodallega (Wigan, ENG).
